Those baggy eyes and sweatpants don't define you.

It's two weeks before finals. Have you sort of slacked the whole year and finally deciding to get your shit together? Same here. Here are a few thoughts about how I am feeling right about now:

1. When the teacher tells me the final is always the easiest.

I don't know about you, but if the final was the easiest, I wouldn't be chomping on my nails, calculating my "what if" score to see how low of a grade I can get on the test and still maintain a solid C.

2. Lol, Sundays.

Have you ever spent all weekend procrastinating? You had a great time. You got the privilege to see all of your friends. You look at the date. It's Sunday. 11:30 p.m. You have a paper due at midnight. Panic.

3. "Are you sick?"

More than likely no. I just haven't showered, brushed my hair or eaten in the past four days, but it's fine because everyone is in the same boat as me, right?

4. Sleeping no longer fits into my schedule.

I feel like a new person if I go to bed before 1:00 a.m. during dead week. The bags I get under my eyes really compliment the determination and hard work I have finally decided to put into my education.

5. I get a little emotional.

Someone may accidentally bump into me. I'll cry. I may spell a word wrong and my computer will autocorrect it. I'll cry. I may find a $10 bill on the ground. I'll cry. I'm not emotional right now, just losing my mind. It's fine.

6. One of my study tips:

It actually works. Marker doesn't get blurry. Writing will always be clear. Oh, make sure you have tissues nearby, you don't want tears on your lap or all over your shirt.

7. I always make sure to thank the teacher.

Maybe mumble under your breath, though.

8. My stress level is Britney Spears in 2007.

I haven't shaved my hair off my head yet, so I guess I'm ahead on that.

9. So slap happy.

My reaction to everything that someone says, especially at 10 p.m.

10. Currently thinking about my last final and summer break.

Except I would keep the pencil because I am too broke.

We are all struggling, anxiety filled, sleep deprived students. Good luck to all of you, I know I am going to need it. Hang in there because summer break is so close. Just two more weeks. Thank God.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
