My Wish To You

Your smile brightens the room. Please don't hide it. Your laugh shakes the earth and sends waves across the Atlantic. Please don't hide it.

My Wish To You

My wish is that you never let society break your will. For you are so strong and powerful that it would have to be heavy burdens to bare. The world is not perfect. No person is perfect, not even yourself.

Some people will dislike you for no reason at all, some will dislike you because you won't conform to their idea of how you should act. That's okay.

Some people may be beautiful on the outside. They draw you in with perfected verses on what's right and wrong only to show true selves and when the bully and nasty come out, they won't be so beautiful anymore. Don't fall victim to their unmerciful ways.

He or she will tell you they love you, they may or may not mean it. It could be years, months, weeks, or days but absolutely do not repeat it unless you mean it. If you do, love with every fiber of your heart. It's only natural to have a heartbreak but it is unnatural to lie. Even if it's just to yourself.

Be cautious of your crowd because you are who you keep company.

Stay humble in knowing we were made equally. Not one person is made with out blood and bones. We all bleed the same. Do not think you're ever too good to be someone's friend, or not good enough for that matter.

We all fight our own demons and once you break a porcelain doll, the cracks won't ever go away no matter how strong the glue is. Keep that in mind when venom tries to latch on to the tip of your tongue.

Do not let others define your idea of beauty.

Your smile brightens the room. Please don't hide it. Your laugh shakes the earth and sends waves across the Atlantic. Please don't hide it.

Your value is priceless so do not sell yourself short. Keep your morals and standards close to your heart and keep steadfast on your path of your own righteousness.

My wish is that you never let society break you. You're smart, you're courageous, and you belong

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
