Heading to the gym can be a drag. Depending on the day or what mood you’re in, your workout can be affected. Learning how to use the elements of the day to strengthen your workout is one of the hardest things to understand. Everyone works differently when it comes to creating his or her drive for the gym.

The hardest part about working out is putting on the clothes, and just doing it. Often the negative thoughts of the day push people to want to just shower and put on comfy clothes and forget about it. What people don’t understand is that the gym can be that place to let is all go. When working out the body releases chemicals called endorphins. This chemical corresponds with the chemicals in the brain that reduce the pain and trigger positive feelings in the body (HELLO POSITIVE).

Being happy and reducing pain is two of the most important things someone could do for himself or herself. With everything going on it is sometimes hard to remember the drive of each day, but having a set schedule really makes a difference.

Exercise is a universal component to life, no matter the age. Understanding that working out doesn’t always mean pushing yourself over the edge, but just means keeping your heart rate up for more than thirty means each day. Exercise is like eating right, the more great you do to your body the more results that will show.

How can you flush out the elements of the day?

Timing

If the time of day affects the way you’ll perform during your workout, figure out what works best for you and go from there. Perfect timing and pushing yourself are two things that do not work well without one another.

Visualize

This is something that has been a universal idea for many years. Before taking on a huge element of life such as a sports game, a job interview, or a first date visualizing how it is going to go in your head before really sets the positive tone. This is the same for hitting the gym. Visualizing what workouts you’re going to do and how successful you’re going to be at them really helps.

Stretch

Regardless if you’re heading to the gym or taking a day off stretching feels good and it’s good for you. Releasing and stretching out your body helps make you refreshed.

Warm-Up

Before even beginning to workout it is best to warm-up the body whether it is through running, walking, biking, or floor exercises. Warming up and getting yourself in the zone for the rest of the workout really helps create that element of focus for no distractions.

Turn Up The Tunes

Music on; World Off. Turning the music up to some of your favorite songs and shutting out the world is something that is key for a great successful workout. Focusing on the words of the song, or the beat while doing an exercise also helps create a block of focus.

Knowing yourself is the best way to become successful for motivation to stay active. Living a healthy and great life-style is what it’s all about.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
