A recent fried of mine was telling me about a current situation she's been in including her now found "boy" interest. The only problem with this whole aspect was the fact that the two of them only started talking about two weeks ago. She was in between whether or not they would actually start "talking" after or before Valentines Day. So, more importantly, does she say "Happy Valentines Day!" to the boy she's only been getting to know for a month, or simply ignore the fact that it's Valentines Day because she/he doesn't want anything to become weird? Well, if you're in this predicament or even somewhere along the vicinity, read these tips and take a breather!
1) The boy you've recently started talking to is probably thinking the same thing you are
- Most of time dealing with myself or even the people around me, I notice that we often lack communication in this day and age. Almost more than half the time the reason people have so many disagreements in relationships is because they don't communicate. So the guy you're talking to probably is thinking the same thing about wishing you a happy valentines day.
2) Ignore it, and act like it's just another day
- Sometimes the only way to actually get over something without overworking yourself is to ignore it. Treat the day like any other! don't say any comments that would make it seem like you're being overly bearing about the day! If you two are calm and collected like any other day, tomorrow will be no different!
3) If he/she hasn't asked about plans yet:
- Tell him/her that you already made plans months ago! Sometimes saying things are in tradition makes it easier for the both of you. If you already have previous plans or at least pretend you do, this would alleviate any awkwardness from the subject of cupids special day.
4) Don't panic, it's simply another day
- Love is great, and if going onto Facebook and Snapchat makes you feel a little irritiable about not having that special person on Valentines Day, don't fret! Your best friends and a bottle of wine are always considered trophies!
