So, if you're reading this you're most likely considering participating in formal recruitment at you're university. You're probably scared of what you don't understand or what you don't know. Maybe you're freaking out about the sorority stereotype, the cost of being in a sorority, making new friends, and even which sorority you'll get a bid from. This is why I'm here to talk you through the unknown, and hopefully get you to put the pedal to medal and commit to recruitment.
I'm sure you are scared about what actually happens during recruitment. PHA normally doesn't tell you much about it except to tell you when and where you're suppose to be. This is probably because they want you to experience recruitment first hand, and let me tell you... it's something you'll remember forever. Another reason PHA doesn't tell you is because they don't know how each chapter will run their recruitment, which is even more exciting to experience. Don't let it stress you out!! Just act like you're meeting a friend for the first time while you're talking with these women.
It shouldn't have to be a forced conversation if it's meant to be. You'll know when you find your home, and you WILL find a home 100%. I personally cannot describe how much I fit in to my sorority. So I KNOW you will find YOUR home <3
I guess the main reason I'm writing this is to tell you to say yes to recruitment. Say yes to those long days, to losing your voice, to being so tired you crash out in your makeup and recruitment t shirt. Say yes to an active on Preference Day and to the bid you get from your new home. Most importantly say yes to those other fellow new members that want to get a picture with you on Bid Day and say yes to your new girl gang!
