As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, most college students are anticipating the wonderful homemade food and being home with family. However, Thanksgiving has become less about being thankful and more about busy life. Black Friday shopping starts as early as 5:00 pm on Thanksgiving day and people are spending less time as a family. There is something so special about sitting down with family/friends and eating a meal together. Don't forget to be thankful for everything you have. Take a minute before pushing throughout the black Friday crowds to ponder all the gifts you have. Be thankful for....

Family and Friends

If your spending time with family or friends that have become your family be thankful for having them. Cherish the time you have with each other. Be thankful for the people you have in your life that are there for you no matter what. If you're dreading the dinner with relatives, be thankful that you have someone to go home to.

Freedom

Take a step back and think about the fact that you aren't living in a war zone. Be thankful for the freedom that you have living in this country. Be thankful that you are able to share your opinions and religgion and not fear for your life. Be thankful for this country that you live in.

Health

Be thankful for the health. Cherish the ability to walk, breathe, talk, ect. Some aren't as lucky. Be thankful that you are able to spend time with family and friends and be thankful that you have been blessed with good health. If you aren't in good health at least be thankful that you have been blessed with another day on this earth. Be thankful that you are here today and be thankful for your strength to fight whatever illness you may have.

No matter where you are in life right now take time this holiday to be thankful for what you have and appreciate those around you.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
