Don't Forget About Your Single Friends

Everyone wants their friends to be in a happy relationship, so then you can go out and do all those fun couple activities. But what happens when only one of you is in a relationship and the other isn't?

You see all the fun adventures you two go on, and think "I'm glad they are happy."

You hear about how good they are for each other.

You let them talk about how happy they are in the relationship, because that's what friends do. But you don't say how you are really feeling because you don't want to ruin their moment.

You see them post pictures and videos, wishing that you could have gotten an invite. But who wants a third wheel hanging around.

We know that your life is busy with school, work, homework, the boyfriend/girlfriend. But what about us? The friend that has been through everything with you. When do we get to have our time?

We are happy that you are so happy and doing good. But we wish that sometimes things would go back to how it was before, just to have that person back and just be us without the other half.

Don't forget about your single friends while your in a relationship. Still make time for them, because even though they might look happen when your hanging out doesn't mean they don't have their bad days. Pop in on them, surprise them, let them know you are there.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
