I've been told no multiple times in my life. It sucks. But I am also a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. If one college tells you "no", it's because another college is eagerly waiting to tell you "yes."
Colleges are weird. They all have a different criteria they want you to meet, and sometimes its "no" seems a bit off. Hell, I know someone that was accepted into an Ivy League school, but was turned away from FSU. It makes absolutely no sense.
This is why you shouldn't feel discouraged if your #1 school tells you "no." The school doesn't know what it's missing out on, but you sure do. Your friends do. Your teachers do. Your parents do. You should, too.
Not all colleges have the same level of academics, sure, but a lot of schools just want you to succeed. In my opinion, that "no" is opening another door for you to find something even better. That "no" is giving you a better chance to succeed in life. That "no" will become the best thing that's ever happened to you.
Don't stress about receiving a "no." It just wasn't meant to be. But I promise you this: something better will come along. Just wait.
