I know what you’re thinking, this girl doesn’t believe in love and will eventually die an old, lonely hag. Well the love part is where you’re wrong because I do very much believe in love, just not the conventional kind. Well I am a sucker for a Nicholas Sparks film, I’ve grown tired of them because they are all the same old mushy stuff and these films try so hard to show love that they miss it completely. Love isn’t flowers and chocolates, it’s that good luck text on your first day of work or someone who stays up with you til 3am talking about life, death, and everything inbetween. The films about love lack substance and love is meant to be nothing but. Films are representations of what people want to see, not what’s really there. Real love is laughing when knee your guy in the crotch on accident. To be honest love is meant to be awkward at times and that’s the greatest part! It’s those flaws and little mishaps that make you love your significant other even more because you know that they’re not perfect, just like you. Some people like to hide their flaws from their significant other but revealing them makes the relationship stronger because then you know they they love you for you, not for who they think you are. People try to contain love be defining what it is when in fact love is everything. Love is watering your mother's plants or giving your sad friend a hug. Love in the movies doesn’t show that, they only show the same sappy stuff that doesn’t show that you truly love a person. I use to be a cynic when it comes to love and that was because I thought love was meant to be like in the movies and when I realized that I was chasing a figment of people's imaginations I found what love really was. Love in the movies is seen as perfect when in fact love is caring about someone for their imperfections. Knowing that someone cares about you even though you have a cackle for a laugh and have horrible morning breath makes you cherish that feeling even more. MY last piece of advice for you is to stop looking for what love is supposed to be. Love is whatever you make it and as soon as you stop looking to others to find it it’ll be there waiting for you. And let me tell you it’s pretty amazing.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
