Girls. Ladies. Chicas.

Come on. It's not a lot to ask. I just want the bathroom to be pleasant when I take my shower at 7 AM or need to brush my teeth. The Girl's Bathroom should NOT smell or look like a Men's Bathroom.

You would THINK the girls bathroom would be clean, smell fresh, and be beautiful.

Well get that pretty picture out of your head and be prepared to see disgusting images of my halls bathroom. My RA has done A LOT to keep our bathroom clean and stop these nasty girls from continuously clogging up the sinks and making messes. But she can't be Bathroom Monitor!!!

I did not contribute to this grossness; in fact on many occasions I have cleaned up everyone's mess.

BUT TODAY, I decided to take pictures and out the nasty girls in my hall.

1. DON'T clog the shower drain!

How did they do this? Maybe their hair got jammed up in the drain. But instead of reporting the problem, they let others continue to fill up the shower and let it flood the bathroom.

And I mean FLOOD the bathroom.

2. DON'T FLOOD THE BATHROOM!

It may be hard to tell by this picture, but let me tell you, my slippers are still drying.

3. CLEAN UP YOUR NASTY HAIR OFF THE SHOWER WALLS

You won't see my hair on the shower walls, because I WASH IT OF LIKE A CLEAN, REASONABLE PERSON.

This is just disgusting! I am NOT touching the walls NOW.

CLEAN UP YOUR GROSS STUFF GIRLS.

4. What even is this?

Like WHAT EVEN.

This is beyond disgusting. This girl must have WANTED someone to touch her gross dead hair.

IT'S ON THE KNOB.

It's not even one strand of hair.

IT'S A FUR BALL.

5. DON'T put food crap in the sink, and WASH OUT THE SINK PLEASE.

LITERALLY you girls don't know how to clean dishes.

What is in this sink you ask? I don't know. It did smell awful.

So the next time you think all girls are clean (stereotypical housewife that cleans everything), think again. Because whoever did all of this is just plain disgusting.

And to the girls living in a dorm or have to share a bathroom with a hall,

PLEASE STOP BEING DISGUSTING.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
