In light of recent events that are going on in our nation, I do believe some things need to be addressed. It is completely outrageous and uncalled for, why must there be bloodshed of our own people? It all starts with parents, not this generation but previous generations. Let me tell you this, it isn't the cops' families that are being bred to hate another person for their occupation. It's not the families of cops that are going out and killing innocent people just because they are a part of the law. All I hear from the majority of black Americans is how much cops suck and how much they hate them. Well, here is an idea for you, don't break the law and stop resisting authority, while taking responsibility for your actions. By no means is this an attack towards blacks, but rather an opinion based on beliefs. Why are our children being bred to resent the idea of a cop, when their job is to protect and serve? I know, I know, you're thinking "well it all started when a cop shot a guy". Wrong, the cop was doing his job, and if he felt threatened, then he did his job right. At the end of the day, a criminal's life is not as important as a law abiding citizen (even better someone who protects the streets). Let me put this into perspective: If someone breaks into your house, are you going to just let them get away with it? Or are you going to fight back, if necessary, shoot them? I can tell you right now that if you're stupid enough to break into my house, where my family and I sleep, you will not be leaving my house. Because your life is not as important as mine or my families, especially when you decide to be negligent and stupid.
Yes, the past few weeks have been interesting to say the least. Two citizens dead for what reasons no one but the cops on scene know of. It is not our right to determine what happened for two reasons. For one, we were not there, we don't know whether he was going for his gun to shoot the officers. We do know he was a criminal, one with a lengthy track record, who was on probation and was in possession of a firearm. For two, there was an altercation and the cops went after the person who fit the description of the 911 call. So who are we to judge their interpretation of that? If that doesn't raise some red flags in your head I'm not too sure what will. the second shooting I don't have much on, because there isn't enough footage or stories on it, but again it is not our place as third parties to judge based on a crappy cell phone video.
Is it worth it? Are five cops dying and 11 getting injured really worth all of this? If you ask me, another criminal was taken off the streets, a sex offender is gone. Someone who may or may not have gone after your son or daughter, if that doesn't give you the slightest bit of relief, what will? As citizens of the USA, we need to start standing behind or police officers, having their backs when the going gets tough. With rising oppositions in the streets, cops are at an all time danger, they need the support of us.
It's sad to see that people have no remorse when it comes to the killing of innocent police officers. Let's for one second switch roles. Five cops were just killed, so now every cop in the nation is going to racially profile every black man and women and shoot them dead in the streets, NO! You don't see that. Why? Because not every black person is a criminal, just as every cop is not crooked. Do you see the pattern here? People get so bent out of shape and call it a racial injustice because a black man is shot, but no one bats a damn eye when numerous cops die. Our own president is more concerned with the banning of guns than mourning with the families. Things need to change, and unfortunately, I forsee them getting worse before they get better.
