The stigma around tattoos is ever-changing these days and they are becoming more accepted but there are still people who will give judgy looks or make snide comments about people with tattoos. I for one couldn't care less what you think about my tattoos and here is why.

My tattoos have sentimental value to me, it is something I carry around with me all the time to remind me of what I've been through in my life and the memories that I have. Some people don't have a reason for all of their tattoos and that's okay.

You got your tattoo just because you thought it was cute? That's fine! I shouldn't have to explain why I got the tattoos that I did just because you disapprove.

My tattoos are a way I can express my self. I can tell my story through my tattoos and you may not understand the story but the story is not necessarily meant for you. My tattoos are for me.

A tattoo is a piece of artwork. Think of it this way; when you go to an art gallery and look at all the paintings you aren't going to like every single one of them, but that artist put work into that painting. Tattoo artists are just that, artists.

They put hard work into making sure that what they are putting on your body is exactly how you want it. After all, this is going to be on your body for the rest of your life. Tattoo artists make a living by helping people tell their stories.

With all that said, the next time you see someone's tattoos and you disapprove and want to say something about it maybe you should just keep your mouth shut. You don't know what that person has been through and you don't know what those tattoos mean to them.

Maybe they just got them because they thought it was cool, that doesn't matter, it's on their body not yours. You don't have to like it. We don't care.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.
