When something awful happens to us, and our lives take a sharp turn for the worst, the first thing many of us are guilty of is blaming God. You may ask yourself why. Why did He allow that to happen to me? Why did He cause such pain and suffering? What did I do to deserve this? So often, we stay angry at God for hurting us and never see all the wonderful and amazing things that He has done for us. In these situations, it is easier to blame God than to thankGod, but why would you blame God?
God has created such goodness in the world. Why is that not celebrated enough? He created laughter and love. It is because of Him that we have hope and passion. He created the highest mountains, the most beautiful beaches, and the most gorgeous, magnificent views. He created so many places that we are in awe of. He created those masterpieces just for us.
He has placed so many people in our lives that have touched our hearts different ways. He has given us the ability to believe; to believe in His goodness, to believe in the goodness of the world and to believe in ourselves. Most importantly, He has given us the ability to be human and still be saved by Him. We can make mistakes and still be forgiven by Him. We can come to Him, sin and all, and still be loved unconditionally, without limits. He has done so much for us.
There is evil in the world. You could not believe in God without believing in the devil. But with that illness of evil comes goodness from God. There is charity, compassion and love.
We are allowed to be sad and angry about a certain situation. However, instead of blaming God, pray for Him to give you peace within yourself about the situation; Ask Him for the ability to grow stronger from the circumstance.
Do not let a bad situation change your heart for God. Instead, grow with God and allow Him to lead you to His plan that is catered to you. God has created you for a purpose. He has given us so many blessings and so many things to be thankful for -- you just have to open your heart to Him.
“God is light. In Him there is no darkness.” 1 John 1:5
