We are given 7 days in a week and only treat 3 of those days like they matter. Why don’t we make the other 4 days count?
It seems like everyone is so preoccupied with waiting for the weekend to come that they forget to live during the week. Sure, I know the weekdays may not be as glitzy or exciting as the weekend, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try and live our lives to the fullest on the weekdays too.
Though we may have work, school, and other commitments during the week that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy ourselves on those days too. Treat yourself to your favorite coffee one morning, go to yoga with friends one afternoon, take time to watch catch up on your favorite show, or be adventurous and try a new restaurant. There are plenty of things you can do to enjoy the less popular days in the week. Make a little bit of time in each day to do at least one thing you enjoy. Don’t dread the tasks you hate and find a way to make them fun and gratifying. Slow down and enjoy the little things in life.
The happiest people are the ones that aren’t waiting for the weekend to start; they make everyday a good day.
