You shouldn't be afraid to fall in love.
Countless articles and poems have been written about how dating is for marriage, and you shouldn't be dating if you don't intend to marry. I agree, I really do.
But, don't be afraid to fall in love.
Love hits you when you're knee deep in life, and you're not ready. Love hits you when you're content with your life, and maybe want someone, but don't really care. Honestly, love hits you whenever it wants, and it's always the right time.
If the person who walks into your life, and you have an immediate attraction to, doesn't fit your "life plan" – who cares? You can't plan love.
You can't choose who you fall in love with. Don't be afraid to take a chance on someone. I know that most of you are searching for a soul mate. Stop it. Stop looking for something that is "meant" to find you.
When love presents itself to you – dive in. Maybe its not the person you're meant to marry. You don't know – but Indulge in them. Let them show you your world.
Whether or not that's your happily ever after, doesn't matter. It will be a thrilling ride while it lasts. You will laugh and cry. You will learn a new person, and discover new things about yourself.
Falling in love is easy, it's the endings that hurt. Don't worry about that. Fall in love a million times if you have to. Every time will be a life lesson, and every person will take a piece of you with them. Maybe you'll change them for the better, or they'll change you.
Everything comes to an end. Everything.
So, take a chance. Fall in love. Don't ever be afraid. You'll learn new things, and for a brief time, you'll be the center of someone's world. It's OK to fall in love. Take it day by day.
Maybe one of those days will be a proposal, a wedding, an impromptu adventure, or a dance party at 2 a.m. in the kitchen with a guy who loves you with his whole heart. Just breathe, and let love in.
Falling in love again is scary. Don't let your fear overshadow something amazing. I almost did. He may not be my one, but it feels like it. If I woke up tomorrow without him, I would be sad. But I would know I had the chance to love him – and I think that's what's really important.
