It makes you confident.
Whether you are a born athlete or never stepped foot in a gym before, you will leave more confident than when you arrived. Not because your body will have some magical transition from one night of working out, but because you will be proud. Proud that you got your body moving for 30 minutes. Working out releases energy and that energy always channels into confidence, accomplishment and pride.
It makes you happier.
Energy fuels your everyday mood, attitude and performance. Try working out in the morning and you will surely notice how different your day feels. You have more energy for the day which wakes you up and makes you not only lively, but happy.
It keeps your mental health up.
As mentioned before, working out releases some type of energy that just hits the spot for the day. When you feel confident, you feel happy. And when you feel happy, your mind is happy. Keeping your body moving and active is good for mental health. It allows you to feel in control of some type of aspect of life. I love the routine that it can add to my life. For example, maybe I couldn’t control that bad grade, or rude person at work, but I can control my gym life. I can control myself. I can get myself to the gym and work off that stress and anxiety. I can run until my anger is gone or lift until that weight is off my shoulders and out of mind.
The physical benefits are obvious!
Keeping a body active has been proven to lead to longer and healthier lives. You may think “I’m too young to think about that”, but the truth is, it starts now. It takes 24 hours to get out of shape. 24 hours for your body to forget muscle memory or even lose muscle. Imagine how weak your muscles and bones will be after a few years or even months of no working out.
Working out is good for the mind, soul and body. It releases energy, makes you happy and keeps your body young. Workout practices on the daily will help you keep a well rounded and happy life.
