You may know him as a player for the Utah Jazz in basketball, but now he is everywhere, not for his ability to shoot hoops but because of being the first NBA player to be diagnosed with Covid-19, or better known as the coronavirus.
In a press conference on March 9, Rudy Gobert came out to talk to reporters. This video shows his ironic joke.

The reporters were told to keep a 6- to 8-foot distance when asking questions and weren't allowed in the locker room due to the virus. Gobert decided to mock the NBA's rules by touching all of the reporters' microphones.
After he tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday, before their game against Oklahoma City, he sent out a statement on his Twitter saying, "The first and most important thing is I would like to publicly apologize to the people that I may have endangered. At the time, I had no idea I was even infected. I was careless and make no excuse." He then proceeded to say he hopes his story serves as a warning and makes people take the virus seriously.
His fellow player, Donovan Mitchell, has also tested positive for the coronavirus.
On Saturday the Jazz team posted Gobert was donating $500,000 to support the employee relief fund for the Vivant Smart Home Arena and coronavirus relief in Oklahoma City, Utah, and to the French health-care system.
Since the coronavirus has been around most major league sports and the NCAA canceled their seasons. Schools have closed and went online, and many corporations have closed their doors to keep people safe. Please refrain from touching your face and keep your social distancing. Another reminder is to not shop in bulk and to save some for your neighbors.
Stay safe and healthy.
