This year I've decided to begin replacing my "Sorry"s with "Thank you"s, and I think it will change how I view so many aspects of life.
Not only do I see it already shifting the way I feel about myself, but also impacting my relationships with others by filling them with gratitude.
When we want to say "Sorry, I can't come".... say "Thank you for thinking to invite me".
When we want to say "Sorry, I'm late"... say "Thank you for waiting".
When we want to say "Sorry, I'm a wreck"... say "Thank you for caring for me".
When we want to say "Sorry, I don't have my life together"... say "Thank you for believing in me and helping me dream bigger for the future".
When we want to say "Sorry, I haven't been around much" say "Thank you for sticking by me and always being loyal".
Friends, family, and others love to feel appreciated, and I believe this is a way we can help them feel endlessly loved in this New Year.
You might not be able to keep your resolution of losing 15 pounds or always eating salad, you can continue to replace your "Sorry"s with "Thank you"s.
