I lived,
Leading the heart first into the fray.
The demons tore and stretched their hands
To ravage the heart.
They swore and carried on,
Letting madness rule them.
Turning.
Churning.
Wind and tale, kept.
I ride my bike straight on till dawn.
The gentle breezes
That greeted me on my cheek.
They're a constant reminder to catch my breath
Before it's gone.
Wheels on my bike go round and round,
Round and round.
Someday soon, someone will be riding behind.
Waving a hand of friendship and love,
They'll brush my pain away.
My thoughts run miles in each direction.
But my courage to believe them,
Stands strong.
I feel more alive,
I really do.
Beauty of nature and time,
It guides the heart along.
The demons, they still call.
But life goes on.
