Its about time for spooky season, and if you are like me, then fall is your favorite time of year. Not only is the weather perfectly balanced, (depending on the location you live in) but it is a time for pumpkins, changing colors, apple cider, and spooky season. Its also the beginning of cuffing season, and fall dates are the best!
Below I have included some of the best fall date ideas to take a partner, friend, or spouse on, and some of these are the perfect first dates!
Haunted House
Possibly the most basic of them all, but definitely one of the most fun ideas that there is! Haunted houses are the ideal time to get close to someone. I love haunted houses, but you will almost always find me hiding behind my boy with my arms around his torso and my head in his back. You won't ever catch me leading the way.
This is the perfect time to seek shelter from the spooks by hiding behind your partner, and you can get close to them. Win-win situation. Some may be indoor, some may be outdoor, but I guarantee you will be scared and have the time of your lives.
Average cost: $15.00/ticket
Coffee Shop
Yet another basic date, but very delicious. If you are a coffee lover, take your date out to try some delicious pumpkin spice lattes. This date is also a great way for you to get to know your date, as you can actually talk to one another. In addition to coffee, most shops offer smaller sweets to purchase as well, so don't skip out on the pumpkin bread!
Average cost: $5.00/ coffee
Spooky Movie Marathon
Most people underestimate the power of a Halloween movie, some blankets, and some hot apple cider. Not only can you cuddle up with a date, you get to be cozy and drink one of the most delicious beverages known to mankind. You can watch horror movies, thrillers, Disney Halloween movies, or even those guilty pleasure Hallmark channel movies.
Average Cost: free if you have the movies, but you can always rent movies off Youtube or Amazon for about $2.99/movie
Corn Maze
Corn mazes can be super fun. You can navigate your way through the tall stalks of corn in the daytime, or some mazes offer a scary version during the nighttime. Depending on your navigational skills, you could be lost for ten minutes, or you could be lost for an hour! It really depends on the maze and your skill level.
Average cost: $7-$10 for adults
Pumpkin Picking and Decorating
Going to a pumpkin patch is always a good idea. You can take some cute photos and pick out your perfect pumpkin, right off the vine!
After you find the right pumpkin, you can take them home, but don't forget the decorating supplies! You can grab some paint and fake gemstones and create a perfect masterpiece, or you may find a design that you think you could carve into the pumpkin and create some sort of crazy creature.
Average cost: $5.00 for a pumpkin, $7.00 for carving supplies
