I Lost 10lbs In 12 Days

How I lost 10lbs in 12 days.
It wasn't until I was a sophomore in high school that I started caring about my physical appearance. I told my mom I wanted to lose weight and she said I just needed to start eating healthier. Well, we all know cutting out junk food is hard. Little by little I was eating less junk food. I didn't see a difference so I stopped caring.

Fast forward to now, I'm 21 and I care about feeling healthier and looking healthier. One day I was on Youtube and I stumbled upon a video, Weightloss update! (Before & after pics)-Vlog #16 the youtube channel is Judith's Journey. In her video, she talked about how she did a Smoothie Slim detox for 12 days.

The Smoothie Slim Detox is where you drink 3 juices a day for 12 days. It juices are a meal replacement but still give you the nutrients you need. With this detox, you could lose up to 16lbs, of course, because everybody's body is different. This sounded too good to be true for me but after seeing her before and after pictures and the results of many others I figured I would go ahead and try it.

I've always been very iffy about rapid weight loss diets and junk like that so my expectations were very low. Day 1 was easy, I was pumped full of motivation but SO hungry.

After day 1 I felt like I couldn't keep going but I pushed myself, being able to eat fruit as a snack was so hopeful. Day six came around, and I was HALFWAY DONE! It was the longest six days but I pushed through. I never weighed myself because I knew if I did and I saw no change I would quit and not keep going.

Day 12 I was SO happy I was able to push through and finish. I actually felt great, my skin looked and felt great, but I was so ready for real food. I weighed myself and saw a loss of 10lbs.

Starting weight was 172.6lbs and end weight was 162.6lbs. I'm currently at 159.2lbs and my goal is at least 145lbs.

I've committed myself to going to the gym every day at least once a day, sometimes if I'm feeling enough motivation I'll go twice a day! Doing this juice detox was a great start! I definitely recommend it as a little boost to your weight loss journey.

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
