Hey guys! Welcome to 2020! Since we were little kids we thought by now we would have flying cars and talking animals. Sadly, I don't think either of those things are in production right now. What is in production though, is the start of something new *queue high school musical soundtrack*. In all actuality though, 2020 is the year of change in my book. I know, I know, this article already sounds cheesy and basic because it's vaguely about bettering yourself for a new year, but I really do believe that things will change.

This year, my main goal is to live. During English class this year, our teacher had us pick out a "one little word". This was basically a word that we would use in our lives as a goal or something we want to achieve. I myself, chose the word live. So far, this word has been there but hasn't effected me as much. It has helped me relax and not always be so uptight, but it hasn't helped me to live exactly. That's why I'm focusing on it for this year. For me, this word means that I need to let everything go that has been causing me anxiety and stress so I can just enjoy the things I do.

Not everybody has a goal, and that's ok! Sometimes it feels like just another day like nothing happened, but this is still a time that you can reflect and move on from things that have been holding you back. It's always a struggle to go into a new year without any plans to do anything, but eventually things will fall into place.

New Years doesn't always mean it's time to change. Maybe you like where you're at right now, or maybe you are scared of what's going to happen when you do change. A quote from a good friend of mine has helped me a lot over the past couple years with being able to get things done. "Day one, not one day." I can't tell you how many times I've had to say this to myself so I could accept the change in my life that needed to happen. Hopefully, this quote can help you too. Maybe it's time to move on to a new job, or maybe it's time to leave that toxic relationship. Whatever it is, I hope you find the change you need.

Oh, and Happy New year!

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
