Seeing different parts of the United States during the pandemic was very eyeopening. From town to town rules and regulations fluctuated but overall, the freedom of leaving home brought great excitement. It felt good for things to feel "normal." Walking along the shore line seeing people distancing themselves from other groups but still having smiles on their faces (unless the seagulls were attacking them) made my heart happy. This was a normalcy not felt in what feels like ages.
We ran into many restaurants that weren't open and attractions that couldn't be visited but that was okay. Being able to spend quality time with friends made the 24 hours of time in the car worth it. Distanced, masked, and cautious we got the opportunity to close out a successful year of laughter, memories, and friendship which I will always cherish. We're living in the good ole days, virus or not. The virus has made me so thankful for the time I have with family and friends, I never realized how much of an impact a simple hangout could have until there was no longer an option to hang. Good can come from all things even when it's difficult to find.
