The first Presidential Debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton broke the record for the most-watched political debate. The political outsider took on the epitome of the Establishment in a historic face-off that is part of a larger historical turning point in American politics.
Donald Trump overwhelmingly won the debate according to online polls. He out-debated Hillary Clinton on issues regarding the economy, jobs, trade, national security, and immigration. Polls from TIME, Breitbart, Drudge, The Hill, CNBC, CBS, Fox, and various other news sites showed Trump winning, some of them by a wide margin.
If this is the case, why have I only heard the CNN poll, in which Hillary Clinton won with over 60%, mentioned by the mainstream media outlets?
Clinton's campaign spokesman appeared on Fox News this morning and spoke only of the CNN poll as he praised her for winning the debate. However, it does make sense that those on the campaign want to push the best numbers. But the mainstream media networks need to be reporting the real poll results and not just the results of that one.
Just about every "news" outlet is tremendously biased, and it needs to change. It is okay to tell us about the poll in which Hillary won, but the polls she did not win in need to be mentioned as well. Trump's support base is overwhelming, and the media knows but tries to keep it a secret.
It is time for mainstream media to start reporting news rather than their own biased opinions and narratives, tell the Americans the truth, and keep us informed on what is really going on in our country and especially in our political sphere.
