Across the country, thousands have gathered to protest the nomination of president-elect Donald Trump as the 45th POTUS. As of today, we are coming up on day six of mass anti-Trump rallies across the United States. While most of the protests have been acts of peaceful demonstration, many have gotten out of hand. The Associated Press has reported that more than 225 people have been arrested throughout various cities across United States — at least 185 in Los Angeles alone — according to the Washington Post. These demonstrations have included highway blockades and enraged chants of “not my president” and “no Trump, no KKK, no racist USA.”
Last Thursday, Milwaukee citizens took to the streets at Red Arrow Park to partake in a protest of their own. Hosted by a student-led organization at UWM,Progressive People of Milwaukee roamed the downtown streets for their voices to be heard.
I attended the protest in hopes to capture some moments of history. Below are several photos of the Emergency March Against Trump.
