Warning: Continue at your own risk. I will not discuss each presidential candidate’s specific policies or standing on issues, only my biased and generalized perception of our presidential candidates. I may offend some people, but understand that this is my right as an American to discuss our potential representatives since it affects my future and I’m not just sticking my nose where it doesn't belong like that one neighbor we all had.

P. S If you don’t recall having a neighbor like that…you probably are that neighbor.

Out of a state of disbelief, or perhaps personal well-being, I have refused to believe the comedic and entertaining theatrics that have been flooding our media the past months are reality and not some sketch put on by Saturday Night Live (as they are blending together). Well, it's about time to address the elephant, and donkey, in the room: Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, one of which will be the driver of America's future (albeit, I'm confused as to which presidential candidate's the donkey, as one's more Republican than Democratic and the other's an ass...Oh well!).

Before watching presidential debate round 2 this week, I had to make sure I was ground level with no sharp objects accessible around me just in case a sudden urge of desolation overtook my body. Once that was taken care of, I kicked back, grabbed popcorn in the meme-ist way possible, and started the stream on CNN.

During the stream, I had to keep reminding myself that this was a political debate between two supposedly educated people and not pre-fight banter at the WWE. Now from this debate and the media circus before it, here are my perceptions of the two wrestlers…presidential candidates:

Ah, Donald Trump…politics has never been so Hollywood. Trump has demonstrated multiple accounts of derogatory slurs and objectifying women with the most recent case being the “tic tac” quote of course, where he stated to Billy Bush of Access Hollywood, “I’ve gotta use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her. You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful ― I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait”, going on to say, “And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything…Grab them by the pussy, you can do anything.”

A few days after the public release of that audio tape, Tic Tac’s public relations department released an official statement: “Tic Tac respects all women. We find the recent statements and behavior completely inappropriate and unacceptable.” LOL.

Now, I don’t think I’m generalizing when I state, that, to any reasonable human being, Trump’s statement is a prime example of objectification of women and may even demonstrate traces of misogyny. Also, according to the U.S. census, estimated in July 1st of 2015, 50.8% of the population is female in the United States. Therefore, some women in the United States have to support Donald Trump in order for the presidential race to remain competitive. It definitely doesn’t take 100 Donald Trumps to understand what I’m implying here, but to me it provides some interesting insight to America and self-value of the population.

Anyways, with that being said, I still choose not to label Donald as a racist or misogynistic pig by any means. He has defended himself by stating in the last debate that “This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago.” Now to be honest, I’m a little envious of Trump…at the age of 59 years young at the time of the statement, he was still going at it and limber as ever.

Okay, remembering that we’re actually talking about someone who may represent the entirety of our population, Trump isn’t really evil for making these statements as there was no malicious intent. Almost every man in America has had banter with their group of buddies that to the female ears would be demeaning (although probably not at the age of 59). Also, everyone is America has most likely stereotyped another race and made a derogatory statement, probably never out of hate, as well. It’s simply the American culture, not that the behavior is excusable, but unfortunately it is what it is. Donald has made the same mistakes we all have, but PUBLICLY! I would say the majority of us understand the correct crowd for our misbehaviors, but it seems that Trump doesn’t!

However, if I respect him for anything, it’s that his family is still behind him all the way, especially his daughter, Ivanka Trump. It’s truly an amazing feat to hold your daughter’s loyalty after putting her down publicly so many times. For example, Donald has allowed, and agreed to, sexual objectification of his daughter. In an interview with Howard Stern on his radio show a while back, Trump allowed and may have even agreed to Stern’s labeling of Ivanka as a “piece of ass”. Thankfully, Ivanka is intelligent enough to understand that her father allowed these statements to happen out of his pride for her beauty and not out of any lewdness that some may perceive and infer. While it is still wrong from my perspective for a father to allow such comments on their daughter, Trump was not the worst family man by any means which somewhat positively supports him as a person.

I mean...Stern kinda has a point

I simply conclude that although Trump is not an inherently bad person, the social façade he has created in the public arena has portrayed him as a simple idiot. Now that’s enough for me to not want him to represent me and drive the country’s future, but obviously it’s not enough millions of others.

And now on the other side of the ring, we have Hillary Clinton. She embodies all we hate about politicians: the lies, the faces, and the political decisions that all went wrong. However, I must say I have a lot less to say about her, since her theatrics become quite small when compared relative to Trump, though she is no better as a individual.

I can understand the hate for Hillary. Our country is not nearly as strong as before, and when things are going badly, fingers have to be pointed. To many Americans, politicians are the scapegoats, and thus the roots of evil. And honestly, it doesn’t help that Hilary falls into the many negative stereotypes of politicians.

Throughout Hillary’s career as a politician, she has been seen to be extremely two-faced. There are her public agendas, then there are her private beliefs. This generates hate towards her, but I personally don’t understand it. To me, why does a political representative have to personally believe in everything they pursue? Isn’t it the job of a representative in a democracy to support what the public believes to be correct and not only pursue their personal agendas? Are the American people naïve enough to believe that all our presidents have in history, and should, support whole-heartedly on a personal level what they support in the public domain? Please.

With that being said, the Benghazi situation with Hillary Clinton actually holds value in opposition against her. Long story short, as Secretary of State, it was her responsibility to deflect the attack on the outpost in Libya and protect the foreign Ambassadors and Americans that were stationed there. She failed to do so, and then proceeded to cover it up, as somehow her email as Secretary of State had nothing to do with the Benghazi attack, but her private email account was used to facilitate her decisions. It was found that there were deleted emails on her private account that contained important information pertaining the attack.

Of course, there is a mysterious shroud that covers this case as with any political issues (jet fuel can’t melt steel beams), and speculating is the only action we can take at the moment. However, one fact is pretty clear: she failed in protecting American lives as Secretary of State.

As president and therefore commander-in-chief of the armed forces, Hillary would be responsible for our national security. Taking priority over anything else, a nation needs to be secure in order to progress. Therefore, can we trust Hillary to provide to us national security when she had failed in her run in Benghazi? Now this question is not so easy to answer, but at least it is one concerning politics and not idiotic behavior.

To me, Hillary has a questionable political history, but then so did many other politicians. It has become “fashionable” to bash on Hillary, because she is such a generic politician that she loses any character. Whatever you are, she will become, and honestly it should be ridiculed as despicable. But despite that, her public appearance is acceptable and believable as an educated human being. I guess Hillary is the lesser poison compared to Trump?

So there you have it: Gemini versus Taurus? Forget it, I’m voting for Kenneth Bone.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
