Why Donald Trump Will Create The Next Great Depression

And the science behind it.

Why Donald Trump Will Create The Next Great Depression

Before we begin, everyone knows how the Great Depression originated, right?

If not, here's a history refresher for dummies. The United States won WWI. As a result from the war and high moral, the economy was spurred. New companies were created and quality of life was increased for all citizens. All these new companies' stock rose dramatically, and banks started loaning all their money and then some for stock speculation and investing. Eventually, the stocks got so unreasonably high that everyone was like what the heck and the stock market crashed. This brought about the Great Depression, where over half the population was unemployed.

Here we are with Trump. Why do I say he's going to create the next Great Depression? It's very simple.

I know he has created jobs (apparently 34,000 of them, in fact) and that he is extremely famous and reportedly has huge sums of money. The fact that he has neglected to brag about was that he also fired a lot of people AND failed in many of his business ventures (take, for example...everything). The only reason he's still on his feet and not up over his head with debt is because of government bailouts. Does that mean he's not a smart businessman? Hell no! He's extremely intelligent, using the government to further his own wealth and keep the few companies he has in business! He's created the jobs that he has from government bailout money!

There's just one small problem.

Donald Trump is a very good businessman, but he has no place in politics. He uses the government only to further his own self interests, and if he creates jobs along the way, that's only to further his own revenue and not to provide real, paying jobs for the Americans (or illegal immigrants???) who work for him. Just like the naive American people back in the 1920s, we are investing our votes and money into a fraud. As soon as he is elected (heaven forbid), his stock will crash because, although he is very knowledgeable about running businesses (into the ground), he has absolutely no idea how to run a country. He will send America into a full scale war with ISIS and most likely Mexico as well (spurring the economy like every war always has), form alliances with Russia and North Korea, and follow in his idol's (Adolf Hitler) footsteps.

What I'm talking about is not a Great Depression economy-wise (although it would probably be a side effect), but a Depression in the standard of living for every single American, immigrant, and illegal in America. The Republican party is spewing racism and hatred into our society, and blaming that fear on people like immigrants, Muslims, and ISIS. The real enemies our ourselves, but Donald Trump is diverting that attention to getting himself elected. And if he DOES get elected, America will spiral into a Depression never before seen in history.

Don't invest in a stock that's surely going to fail.

Then again, Hillary isn't a viable option either so I guess the only thing we CAN do is move to Canada.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
