Donald Trump Is Basically A Disney Villain
wiki

Remember when you were younger and that one ghastly villain would show up in the middle of your favorite Walt Disney movie? Maybe you lunged for the remote to fast forward or reached for the closest blanket to cover your eyes, or maybe you just sat back in disbelief at what a truly terrible character this villain was. Well, on January 20th a lot of Americans will be reaching for that blanket because that is the day that Donald Trump will become the 45th president of the United States. If you have kept up with the presidential election this past year (and it was impossible to avoid all of the heinous events that transpired), you realized that Donald Trump is a Disney villain and unfortunately, we can't just get rid of him by popping out the VHS.

Gaston (Beauty & The Beast)

Gaston believes he can have any woman he desires even though Belle has said NO many times to his advances. He believes he is entitled. "I'll have Belle for my wife! Make no mistake about *that*!" Donald Trump has also shown to the world that he is not a man that takes no for an answer. "You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful – I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p**sy. You can do anything." –Donald Trump in a 2005 interview with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush.

Gaston believes all a woman has is her looks. Let us compare, shall we? When Carly Fiorina was contending for the Republican presidential nomination, Trump said that no one would vote for her based on her looks. “Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!” "THAT", as if she isn't even human to him because he's not attracted to her. Not to mention that he said Hilary Clinton didn't have the "Presidential look." “I just don’t think she has a presidential look, and you need the presidential look." This coming from the man that looks like he's sponsoring Flamin' Hot Cheetos. In summary, boorish sexism is a big similarity here. They're clearly both overcompensating for something. Gaston does have great hair though, I will give him that.

John Ratcliffe (Pocahontas)

Ratcliffe is fueled by his greed for gold, making him a very rich man. He is a xenophobic, and demands that anyone of his soldiers that so much as "looks at an Indian and does not kill them on sight is to be hanged." Ratcliffe refers to the Native American people as "savages" and is obtuse to other cultures. Donald Trump wants to build a wall to keep immigrants out: "We have some bad hombres here and we're going to get them out." Ratcliffe has a bad temper and immediately resorts to the use of weapons as a means to destroy the life of the Native American people and get their gold. Trump threatened to go to war with Iran over rude hand gestures. When John Smith talks about Pocahontas wanting to make peace, he refuses to accept it because of who they are: "Lies! Lies, all of it! Murderous thieves. There's not room for their kind in civilized society!" Donald Trump talks of nothing else but building that damn wall to keep immigrants out, he generalizes about hispanics and says they are bad eggs that come over from Mexico and bring drugs and crime.

Scrooge McDuck

This one is a bit of a no-brainer. Scrooge is the richest duck in the world and he is very stingy with his earnings. When asked to donate to the poor he exclaimed "They're not worth it!." Trump hasn't been silent about how little he thinks of the lower class either, quoted as calling them "morons" in an article in the 1999 New York Times. ''My entire life, I've watched politicians bragging about how poor they are, how they came from nothing, how poor their parents and grandparents were. And I said to myself, if they can stay so poor for so many generations, maybe this isn't the kind of person we want to be electing to higher office,” Trump told Dowd, adding, “How smart can they be? They're morons.” Yikes. Amazing that was the majority of his votes. I would like to note that this article in no way slanders the present Scrooge McDuck, he is a charitable bird and takes great care of his three nephews.

Hopper (A Bug's Life)

Hopper is a big, bad business bug. He uses the ants labor to get him his food. He does not offer them anything in return, he uses fear as a means to get what he wants. Donald Trump uses cheap labor over seas for his men's clothing line. He's in search of the lowest production costs and wages to get what he needs.

Hopper mistreats his workers. Besides talking down to them, he kills some of them and threatens all of them all of the time. Donald Trump ALSO mistreats his employees. Conditions in his Honduras factory where his men's clothing line products were made were treacherous. Factory temperatures rose to about 100 degrees and they limited their sips of water because they feared bathroom breaks would cut too much into their time and they would miss their quotas and lose pay, which to begin with was only a few dollars a day. Other workers said they were verbally abused, given unsanitary cafeteria food, and poor in-factory medical care for their work related injuries. Just a couple of insects.

Prince John (Robin Hood)

Prince John is a penny pinching mama's boy. He acts like a bully and a cry-baby all at the same time. Sound familiar? He throws a fit whenever he feels he is being made fun of. Anyone that disagrees with his ways, he vows to punish. and he sees money as power. TRUMP TO A T.

Recently, Trump went on twitter to fire back at SNL for making fun of him saying "@NBCNews is bad but Saturday Night Live is the worst of NBC. Not funny, cast is terrible, always a complete hit job. Really Bad Television!" Does he know he was on it?...Or did he forget just like the rest of us wanted to?

Another thing that Prince John and Trump have in common is their spineless sidekick. And the last thing they have in common? Orange.

Claude Frollo (The Hunchback Of Notre Dame)

Claude Frollo is a sinister villain. The religious justice mininster is a cruel, prejudiced, and cold government official. He wants to rid Paris of all of its gypsies. Which brings us back to Trump's favorite structure once again, the wall. Claude is the begrudged caretaker of Quasimodo. Quasimodo was born with a deformity and Claude was going to kill Quasimodo when he was an infant but was ordered to adopt him as his own to atone for his sin of killing the baby's mother.

He mistreats him because he was born abnormal. He keeps him locked in a bell tower and makes him call him "Master" and when they are out he makes a point to publicly humiliate him. Wow I hate this guy. Donald trump also mistreats those born different from himself, infamously making fun of a reporter with a disability. These two aren't so different.

Claude Frollo blames Esmeralda for his sinful feelings of lust. Donald Trump is no stranger to blaming women for a man's actions. He blamed Mike Tyson's rape victim for going to his hotel with him on NBC news . He then blamed omen of the military for their own sexual assault in a tweet. Yikes. Claude Frollo is a dark, sinister villain, but at least I can get rid of him by turning off the television.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
