The Strokes have been around since 1998, and this years album might just be fully inspired by Donald Trump. The band has released an EP earlier this year but have not dropped a full album since 2013 ('Comedown Machine').
The Strokes' lead guitarist Nick Valensi was in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple's Beats 1 radio when he shares: " Donald trump is producing [the next album]... It's the five of us and all our issues. It's going to be awesome music. Julian is psyched about it. He's very moody so if you have him psyched about music it means were on the right track." The band consists of Julian Casablancas on lead vocals, Nick Valensi on lead guitar, keyboard and backing vocals, Albert Hammon, Jr on rhythm guitar, keyboard, and backing vocals, Nikolai Fraiture on bass, and Fabrizio Moretti on drums and percussion.
The band plans to drop music next year, but isn't releasing even an idea of dates and would rather "just pull a Beyonce (...) and just drop shit."
The Strokes have been releasing music 2001 with their album Is This It, followed by Room on Fire in 2003, First Impressions of Earth in 2006, Angles in 2011, and Comedown Machine in 2013. With hits from all albums their most popular is Hard To Explain from their first album Is This It.
