Come On Everyone, There's No Way Donald Glover And Childish Gambino Are The Same Person

This theory simply cannot be true.

There are some pretty ridiculous and far-fetched theories parading around the internet these days, but there is one theory in particular that is simply too ridiculous to ever be believed by anyone with a functioning mind. Apparently, there is a theory going around that actor/writer Donald Glover and rapper Childish Gambino are actually one and the same person.

I know, I know. How could anyone possibly believe something like this? How could anyone think it could be remotely possible that the former star of the television show "Community" could also be the artist responsible for the song "Redbone?" How can one of the stars of the soon to be released film "Solo: A Star Wars Story" also be the artist who just came out with the controversial new song "This is America," featuring a music video that contains biting commentary about gun violence in America?

No single person could possibly be this talented and impressive, so therefore Childish Gambino and Donald Glover cannot possibly be the same human being. I mean sure, maybe they look slightly similar. I might believe it if someone told me they were cousins, but the same exact person? No way.

Here's what Donald Glover looks like:

And here is a picture of Childish Gambino:

See, there is no possible way that these two incredibly different people are actually one and the same. If it were true, we all might as well give up now because none of us will ever be as impressive as someone who can create and star in the TV series "Atlanta" and then also come up with tracks such as "Heartbeat" and "Bonfire."

Besides, Donald Glover recently hosted "Saturday Night Live," with musical guest Childish Gambino. This proves they cannot be the same person because how could this apparent superbeing possibly host the show and perform as the musical guest at the exact same time?

Do these conspiracy theorists really expect us to believe that Donald Glover was able to perform in a fairly funny "SNL" skit before suddenly and immediately getting up on stage and performing as Childish Gambino? There is simply no way that a human being could be capable of such impressive feats.

If Donald Glover and Childish Gambino are actually the same person, then maybe Nicolas Cage and Tom Cruise are actually the same person. Maybe Leonardo Dicaprio and Ryan Gosling are the same person. Who knows, maybe Prince Harry and the Duke of Sussex are actually the same person. If we believe this hogwash about Donald Glover, then any one of these obviously outlandish claims could, in fact, be true.

These internet conspiracy theorists need to stop putting such outrageous thoughts into the mind of the public. The public may not know any better, but this is why it's up to us, those who do know better, to stop these wretched lies from spreading across the media landscape.

Unfortunately, the lies are now getting out of hand, and even Wikipedia is responsible because according to Donald Glover's Wikipedia page, he is also Childish Gambino, showing that even an Internet presence as large as Wikipedia can give false and misleading information. The bottom line is that these lies must stop. Lies like Donald Glover and Childish Gambino actually being the same person. Give me a break.

If it were true, how would we possibly describe this superperson? As an actor/writer/singer/rapper/comedian/director? The list probably goes on from there, and there is simply no way that a single person could do this much. If they really were the same person, I'm not sure I could continue on anymore in my daily life, because everything I thought I understood about life and the universe would suddenly crumble.

Luckily this will be avoided, because Childish Gambino and Donald Glover are definitely two different people. Make sure not to let the internet convince you otherwise.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
