The stage was set for the Main Event after that phenomenal Flyweight bout that caused one of the upsets of the year when Henry Cejudo shut down Demetrius 'Mighty Mouse" Johnson's 12th title defense to only keep him at 11 defenses in his career when he snagged the UFC Flyweight Championship away from Mighty Mouse in a split decision victory.

Cody Garbrandt makes his way to the octagon calm and looks focused ready to go, He hugs his coaches and gets ready to enter the octagon. Cody makes his way to the blue corner with a huge ovation from the crowd. The lights go out and cameras cut to T.J. Dillashaw who is bouncing around excited wearing his new Snake print shirt embracing the snake name that was given to him as The Red Hot Chili Peppers blast throughout the arena. He is cheering and getting pumped up as he goes through the same routine of getting ready to enter the octagon.

Bruce Buffer makes the electric introductions as he always does and they meet in the middle. Already T.J. is using his footwork and head movement moving beautifully. Everyone is wondering who is gonna land first? Will it be a repeat of UFC 217? There are a few exchanges between the two but nothing crazy. Cody is loading up all the way when he throws his punches, but nothing is landing really clean.

T.J. is moving non-stop, and they both exchange again with Dillashaw's eye swelling tremendously after the encounter. They both throw again and straight out of a Rocky movie they both land their punches and rock each other but Cody Garbrandt is clearly the more hurt out of the two as his body language changes immediately. Cody becomes stiffer and is really throwing everything into his punches, but T.J. rolls with the punches and cracks Cody as he fells.

Dillashaw swarms Cody, but Garbrandt grabs a leg while he is down getting smashed by hammer fists. Cody gets back to his feet surprising as everyone thought it was over. T.J. and his slick footwork moves in again on Cody and cracks him clean again, Cody bounces off the fence into a brutal knee followed by a two piece combination. At 4 minutes and 10 seconds of the very 1st round referee Herb Dean steps in to save Cody from taking any more damage.

T.J. Dillashaw successfully defeated Cody Garbrandt again and had been really looking forward to proving that he is better than Cody. Since losing his belt in a very close fight to the now #2 ranked Bantamweight in the world, Dominick Cruz, T.J. knew he had to get his belt back and has been on a tear ever since that loss. Even before winning the gold the 1st time T.J. had been cleaning out his division with no problems besides his 2 losses to John Dodson and Raphael Assuncao.

He defeated Cody Garbrandt to reclaim the belt at UFC 217 last November in the 2nd round. At UFC 227 not only did he dismantle and make easy work of Garbrandt, but he proved it was not a fluke and the belt truly belongs to him. After every fight, T.J. continues to evolve and come back better than what we have seen at the previous fight. Though the new Flyweight Champion Henry Cejudo called out T.J. the fight that seems to be made is Dominick Cruz vs. T.J. Dillashaw 2 for the Bantamweight title. Cruz has recently come out saying how he has already defeated T.J. and what does everyone think will happen while he is healthy with no injuries.

It would be very interesting to see the dominant T.J. vs. Cruz, he has already solidified himself as the greatest Bantamweight of all time after that performance at UFC 227, now it is time to prove it.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.
