Having a dog is great, it really is. They are literally the best thing you will ever come across in this world. They'll love you more than anything else and will be your best friend forever, but sometimes they are such a handful. From the nonstop barking/singing early in the morning to the garbage being thrown around the house while you are gone, here are 14 struggles that the common dog owner goes through.

1. They don't stay puppies forever

2. They don't realize how big they are sometimes

I'm actually really guilty of carrying my dog around like this.

3. Personal space doesn't exist

4. Fur... Fur everywhere

5. Having to take things they shouldn't have out of their mouth

6. You can never eat in peace

No matter what they have in their bowl, your food will always look better.

7. When they lick everything and then want to kiss you

I don't know if I should be grossed out or feel loved.

8. The damn puppy eyes

They get me every damn time.

9. Chewed up shoes

10. "Oh you left me home alone for an hour, let me tear everything apart"

11. Bath time for them means bath time for you

I don't know who is cleaner in the end, me or my dog.

12. Fetch turns into "chase me and try to pull the ball out of my mouth"

13. When you accidentally hit them

I literally feel like the worst person in the world whenever this happens.

14. When you pet another dog and they find out

Sometimes it feels like we're in a relationship and I'm being accused of cheating.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
