Dog is man's best friend. I firmly believe this statement is true. My tiny shihtzu is one of my best friends. How can you have a dog and not expect them to be one of your closest friends? Here are just a few reasons why my dog is one of my best friends:

1. She listens to all of my problems.

Whenever I just want to rant or cry, I know my dog will lay there and listen.

2. I can always count on her to hang out with me.

When all my friends are busy, I am perfectly okay chilling with my dog.

3. She keeps me company when I am lonely.

4. She cheers me up when I am sad.

There is nothing like that look that you get from your dog when you are crying.

5. If someone were to break into my house, she would defend my family.

Although she is tiny, I know she would do anything for my family. Even when someone knocks, she howls her loudest.

6. She makes me laugh when she runs around the living room.

My dog does this thing where she speeds around the living room and I can't help but laugh.

7. She enjoys driving with the windows down, too.

8. I never have to go on a walk alone.

My dog actually hates walk and it ends up usually with me carrying her-but hey I'm still not alone.

9. She will take unlimited pictures with me.

I love taking cute pictures with my dog even though she turns her head in more than half of them.

10. She loves to watch movies.

Whenever I am laying on my couch with a blanket, my dog is sure to follow me into the room and lay on my legs.

11. She will never leave my side.

12. She gives the best greetings.

There is nothing like coming home from college and hugging your dog.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
