Does Double Masking Work?

According to the CDC who performed trials with dummies, it has shown that exposure to potentially infectious bacterium decreased by about 95% when they had secured double masks. This not to negate that wearing a mask does not work, it is to support that mandate about masks protecting us from COVID-19.

The CDC or the Center for Disease Control has updated their guidelines on their website to show 'double masking' and their data on it. If still hesitant, let's review the actual experiment.

In a secured lab, researchers stimulated how people cough and breathe to test how well different masks worked against these airborne particles. Researchers looked at no masks, a cloth mask or a surgical masks. They tested different material on top of one another to see which variants worked the best. Ultimately, wearing a cloth mask over a surgical masks secured against the face improved transmission and exposure to infectious particles.

Try to get masks that fit you and not hang loosely around your nose and mouth. The masks that work the best are the ones that have added layer and a nose wire, so it can prevent air from leaking out on top. Over the past week, the U.S. has averaged about 1.53 millions doses a day and 9.3 millions second doses have been administered. Virus-related deaths have struck the United States immensely throughout this past year and currently. The CDC is cautioning people to take immediate action and follow all guidelines similarly. Wear a mask, maintain social distance and limit your interaction with people. All guidlines are still up on the CDC website where people can follow up on this information.

States and districts like the District of Columbia had impelnetef universal masking mandates and masking is now mandatory. These steps that state and federal government make will save millions of lives.

As always, double up the masks!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
