Apparently, living or being in a tidy, decluttered, and clean home has the ability to turn you into a kinder and more empathic person. Plus, children who are given small and simple home chores are up to 65% more prone to turn into emphatic adults later on in life. Moreover, they are also up to 60% more likely to throw a hand at the people around them as young adults.

People who live in clean homes that are neatly tidied up and decluttered periodically become more productive and compassionate, and the catch is that if we personally contribute to the cleaning process itself, we are even more likely to turn into more candid persons.

Let's find out more interesting facts about the way something as apparently simple as cleaning a dirty carpet twice a week could help you improve yourself as a person.

Tidy Up and You'll become More Eager To Help Others

The catch is that the more involved and into decluttering you actually are, the more relaxing, beneficial, and pleasant you find the act of straightening up your home, the better. You will become a lot more eager to throw a hand at other people. How much more eager? Up to 57%. Take your time and assess the way scrubbing the wooden floors, decluttering the kids' room and the kitchen, vacuuming the carpets and wiping down the countertops make you feel. Which of these activities would you say you enjoy the most? If you are not really a big fan of carpet scrubbing and vacuuming, you could always do a briefflokati rug cleaning near me search online and rely on some expert hands and stick to doing those activities that you find most enjoyable instead.

As long as you can figure out those exact cleaning chores that you enjoy doing, you will experience pure happiness when doing them, and thus turn into a nicer person.

A Clean Home Makes You Feel More Relaxed

Just being inside your neat, tidy, clean, and well-organized home should automatically help you relax with more ease, experience lower levels of stress, and become more productive. If you also happen to work from home or you arerunning a home office, and you seem to be sometimes lacking the motivation or you are procrastinating doing your work, pick up your house a little more often. It should make all the difference!

Tidy Rooms, Better Learning Skills

Whether you are still in college and you are desperately looking for some ways to improve your study performance and make your sessions longer and more meaningful, or you are a parent, keeping your home clean and uncluttered should come in handy. How and why? Apparently, a neat and well-organized room that does not have clothes, toys, books, and other items lying around will help you find and keep your focus with more ease.

Plus, kids living in households that are thoroughly cleaned and well-kept are less likely to act out. Remember this next time you need to find a punishment for your children and you will be killing two birds with one stone.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
