Introduction's are always so boring, and honestly they're overrated. Instead of giving you (yes you) the spill of my life, I want to be seen through my work. P.S. I also address my audience as lovelies because I sincerely love each and every one of you without knowing any of you personally.

Hello my lovelies. I hope everyone has had an excellent week. Now, let's get down to business.

I know most of you all are wondering who this new artist is trying to give you some type of advice when they've barely experience life, but I'm here to tell you that age doesn't matter.

My "blog" will consist of interviews and regular old articles. Luckily, today is a interview type day, so get excited for the very end! I am posting these interviews because I want you to be able to see that we all have problems. Some of us just have different ways of taking care of things. This just might be my favorite interview because I can relate to what he is saying. There were plenty of struggles for food when I was younger and financial problems. It hurt me to have to lie to my friends and tell them I couldn't go out anywhere because I had homework. That wasn't the real truth. My financial situation kept me from hanging with my friends. No, no, no. When you barely have food in your house so you have to come up with a find-what-you-can meal. No one should have to struggle for food, clothes, or money. This is another one of my motivations for being a leader and an excellent student. For the people who feel like they can't achieve anything in life, I want to be a friend that motivates them the same way that mine did. When I look back, tears kind of come to my eyes because I know that my friends would do anything for me. That is a rare thing to find, so whenever you have a group of friends that ride or die for you, hold on tight and never let them go. If anyone needs someone to talk to, just message me. I am willing to listen. We all have a purpose, allow yourself to come out of your comfort zones and expand. So many people have allowed themselves to be determined by their struggles, hence the reasons they tend to fall. My one request for you this week is to stand tall against your struggles. Whatever religion (or lack thereof) that you have, you can still partake in this challenge. Be Bold, Be a Voice, and Be You.

Topic of the Day- Hard Times

Today's guest speaker is Ruchadd Bivins. (By the way, M: means me and R: means Ruchadd). Mr. Ruchadd Bivins is a real-estate agent that works alongside Pastors Dr. Ben and Jewel Tankard. He works to be successful and positive regardless of what life seems to look like.

M: Good Evening, how are you today?

R: I am blessed and highly favored. How about yourself?

M: I am wonderful. Alrighty, thank you for being on my blog today.

R: Thanks for having me!

M: Can you describe a time when you were jealous?

R: Well, people at my school would always get new pairs of shoes. I could never get them. It was a popularity contest, but now I am popular than all of them.

M: Were you not able to get them because of finances or your parents?

R: It was more so of my parents rather than finances. They wanted me to be comfortable with myself first instead of trying to please others. Now that can apply myself, I can get anything. The same applies to everyone else. If you apply yourself, you can get anything.

M: Were there times where you were not confident in yourself?

R: Being jealous of someone or not having self-confidence is just a mind game. Jealousy is just the way you think of a person. If you see them and yourself as a millionaire, you are equals. We all have a calling from God. We just have to take the time and listen. We have to learn how to keep ourselves motivated and confident.

M: What is your inspiration?

R: Creating experiences for everyone.

M: What do you do each morning? How do you help people?

R: I pray (meditate), and check my schedule (If their is nothing about helping people, I add it).

M: Thank you for taking time out of your day to help me help others in understanding themselves.

R: It's an honor to be here!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
