As I was choosing a topic to write about, I was walking out of my last final exam for the semester and I was experiencing a lot of emotions. At that moment, all I could think about was the way I was feeling, so I chose my topic to be “feelings."

I don’t want to bore you with the complex inner working of my feelings, but I did commit to writing about feelings, so I did what anyone who had just come out of a college semester would do with a question that they are unsure how to answer – Googled it.

Google then presented me with many opinions of different psychologists. Psychologists are good, but I’m really just trying to write an article... If Google was sending me a hint, I didn’t take it.

So I scrolled further down Google’s web page (do people still do that?) and a link on feelings interrogated me with 16 questions and the option to sort them into alphabetical order (which obviously, I didn’t choose – because we all know that living life with the element of surprise is a conscious decision).

So, here goes:

1. What makes you feel proud?

Hmmm…

2. What makes you feel nervous?

How many things am I allowed to list?

3. Are you in love right now?

Well, well, Google! We’re getting quite intimate now, aren’t we?

4. Are you frustrated by slow drivers?

Oh, is this not a normal thing?

5. What are you afraid of?

Darth Vader and Lord Voldemort.

6. What makes you angry?

Slow drivers.

7. Is your bed comfortable?

Well, yes, but it’s mine so you can’t use it.

8. Do you ever feel lonely?

Yes, often times when I’m alone.

9. Do you cry when you are sad?

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

10. Do you ever feel homesick?

No, but only because I don’t spend time thinking about it. I love my family and if I thought about it, I’d be homesick...

11. What are you not interested in?

Feeling homesick.

12. What are you excited about?

Life. Or maybe I should just say “Everything” because that’s true too… Gosh, I’m indecisive!

13. What are you embarrassed about?

My indecisiveness.

14. How do you feel right now?

My toes are a bit chilly, but the rest of my body feels comfortable.

15. What are you interested in?

Refer to the lyrics of the top songs on my playlist.

16. Are you happy with your life?

Yes, extremely!

But after answering all these questions, I still don’t understand how I’ve been helped with my feelings. But I trust the process, because being that these questions were on a webpage that had a fancy logo, this must have really been backed by science… And therefore, human feelings must really be complex! Wow!

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
