I have been a fan of Mississippi State for my entire life. I am the fourth generation at this school, and my grandpa even played for MSU, so I know what it is like to be a state fan.
It is a roller coaster ride, but I wouldn't want it any other way
It always breaks my heart to see students, and fans give up on the team or blame a loss on one person. Football is a team sport, so a loss is a TEAM effort.
Mississippi State football will keep you on your toes. It always has and it always will, and it is not for the weak at heart, or bandwagon fans.
It breaks my heart when I see people hating on our team
Students tweeting mean things towards our quarterback, petty Instagram captions, and flat out rude articles being written and published. The players see that stuff y'all, and I'm sure it saddens them even more.
The boys are fighters, and when needed they will step up to the plate, and even surprise you, so just because our team had one bad day does not mean you should rule them out for the rest of the season.
I will never stop believing in my school's football team
I know what it is like to be a Mississippi State fan, so I know that they will surprise everyone when we least expect it. To our awesome, talented football team: do not listen to everyone else. Just keep getting better, faster, stronger, and prove EVERYONE wrong.
Also students: I want to see you get out on that field in front of THOUSANDS, and see if you can perform as well as our boys can. Put yourself in someone else's shoes before you decide to throw out unnecessary hate.
I will be at every home game ringing my cowbell as loud as I can, and so should you fellow students. Maybe not because you are the biggest fan, but because you go to this school so at least show some respect and school spirit
This might be a little bit of a rant, but I feel like it's necessary to defend our football team from all the hate they have been receiving recently. Hail State my dudes, keep up the champion standard on and off the field and you will rise above this.
Thanks for coming to MY TED talk.
