Why We Should Not Hate Trump Supporters

Here's what we should do instead.

Why We Should Not Hate Trump Supporters
TIME

As I was browsing Facebook recently, I came across this meme:

I have A LOT to say about this picture, but it probably isn't what you would expect.

Yes, that statement isn't true.

No, not everyone who THINKS that is true has those "qualities" outlined in the pictures.

What I DO want to say is this:

Do not hate on, belittle, or be rude to Trump Supporters.

I'm being serious. Don't scoff at me. Don't roll your eyes. Take a minute and think about what I'm saying.

Whether you were a Hillary fan, a Bernie Sanders fan, or even a Ted Cruz fan, more than likely thanks to the election, your opinion was hated on. Belittled. Slandered to hell and back at one point or another.

Trump supporters have faced that too. They have gone through that as well. What I want you to do is this:

Remember who his supporters were.

When China is mad at us because our President has stepped out of line, like he already has, remember who supported him.

When Russia meddles into our daily lives because Donald Trump has lifted sanctions against him, which he is open to doing, remember who supported him.

When you no longer have health insurance , have your insurance taken away, and can no longer afford basic healthcare, remember who his supporters were.

Do not just remember your friends and family who voted for him. Remember the senators and representatives from your state that did so.

Remember which businesses backed Trump.

Why?

Because when our country starts declining - like it has been already with parts of the Affordable Care Act removed - you need to remember those people.

With your friends and family, remember them so you can go POLITELY talk to them about the negative consequences of a Trump presidency so you can inform them. Do so with grace, dignity, and with knowledge - for that is the best way to make sure they are informed the next election.

With your representatives and senators, remember them so you can ensure they are NOT re-elected into the position where they were able to fuel Trump's negative consequences. Voting for those who believe what you do is the best way to see the change in our politics you so desperately want.

With businesses, do not give them your hard earned money. Go to stores that support your beliefs and have publically said so, not ones that backed a reckless man in the highest position of power in our country.

But remember:

These people - for whatever reason they may have - voted for Donald J. Trump. They believed that he could actually do a good job in the White House.

We've already seen that this is not going to be the case. He has caused multiple big businesses - like Toyota or Boeing - to lose millions of dollars (please click on the company name to view the articles relating to these incidents).

He has already caused tension with China and Japan.

He has already backed repealing the Affordable Care Act , which has disastrous consequences .

He has already appointed people to his cabinet that are completely AGAINST the cabinet that they were appointed to.

His voters thought he would give them jobs, boost the economy and more - and it seems that he will give them the exact opposite.

So be kind to those voters. Supply them with knowledge and the tools to understand what moves their president is making. Be polite and courteous, because that is how good communication is achieved.

Do not hate Trump supporters - remember them.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
