Do Not Go by Sarah Kate Daskal
(Based off Do not go gentle into that good night by Dylan Thomas)
Do not walk so idly into the black nights
for many terrible things will hide in the absence of light
People may voyage and people will find
that there are reasons why terrible things are left behind.
Do not look kindly into the old darkness
for people get lost in that cold starkness.
You may travel only to see,
terrible things leave only depravity
Do not find comfort in the unknown.
Rage and fight against being alone.
Many may leave you, watch as they walk away.
But terrible things still want to play
Do not walk so idly into the black night
Do not make peace with the absence of light
