You might be that kid in high school with either bad grades or from a low income community.

A Letter To Those That Say, "Do I Belong In College?"

You may question if you belong

Do I Belong in College?

YES. You absolutely belong.

You will give excuses, like, "I don't have the money."

Well, there are NUMEROUS sources that provide financial help for low income students.

Do not take that loan.

You might already be in college, and feel left out.

I promise not all of us are well off students.

You may see fancy Apple laptops, phones.

But, I promise no one gives a...well you know.

Make friends, the whole point of college, is diversity and learn more.

You may have days where there is no food. A lot of business provide student discount, and even the university has free food.

If you even did bad in high school, or smaller classes (like me) Community and university colleges will help you with more time and even tutoring.

So, yes. You do belong. You all belong. Don't let something get in the way of furthering your education. You are amazing, and should get that degree you dream of.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
