Why DJ Khaled Is An Inspiration To Us All
Vibe

DJ Khaled, record producer, radio personality, DJ, and most recently a motivational speaker, is one of 2015’s biggest hit. Many know about the many songs he helped produce and now, through Snapchat, he has become an inspiration to us all.

In a generation where many of us are lost and judged by the constant pressures of society, we need someone to be on our side. Watching his Snapchat story, you cannot help but to feel the DJ Khaled is on your side. Filled with positive vibes and moral lessons, Khaled’s snapchat is one that should be followed by us all.

With the success of his Snapchat, Khaled released a short inspirational video that went viral shortly after. The video, accompanied with a soft score of piano music and the white backdrop helps reinforce the message he is sending us. "You very smart... we the best... you a genius... I appreciate you." It reflects what he has been constantly telling us with his Snapchats. With constant positive energy outpouring through his words, you cannot help but to feel inspired.

2015 is the year for many new catchphrases becoming popular with the youth, with many of them coming from DJ Khaled himself. Some examples include, “Bless up,” and “Another one.” These phrases have multiple meanings to us today, all of which are positive. When you are doing something such as push-ups or sit-ups, just remember the words from DJ Khaled, another one. Positive reinforcement is one of the main selling points of following him on Snapchat.

His Snapchat inspires many of us to be like him, bringing forth a new trend, “the keys to success”. The messages he sends to us all involve never giving up and how to enjoy life. He shares with all of us on the daily, the keys to success, which include, but are not limited to: jet skiing, massages, watering your plants, and eating a healthy breakfast. I, like many others before me, have also mimicking him and started sending people the keys to success. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

In his Story, he talks about, “They.” “They” is an ambiguous term. He does not define what it is, but you can assume what it is. “They” is all negative manifestations in life, which could mean people who are against you succeeding. DJ Khaled tells us that “they” will always try to bring you down, but you gotta remember to go up. Success is a journey and you should follow him on the journey for more success. Notice how I said more.

If you do not follow DJ Khaled on Snapchat, it is not too late. His snapchat name is “djkhaled305,” you’ll know it’s him because he will have a key emoji next to his name, which lets you know that he will provide you all the keys to success. Remember this, if you ever feel like you’re alone in the world, there is someone that will always be on your side. Another one.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
