The holidays are a time of family, sweaters, hugs, and chocolate. While this a wonderful (and delicious) time, your skin might be rebelling at this point. So this is the first video in my "Holiday Detox" series that with focus on easy products you can make at home that will help you get back into gear during and after the holidays.

This week I created a 4 ingredient peppermint face wash to use in place of your regular face wash. It's super simple, only water, corn starch, mint leaves, and peppermint essential oil are necessary. I chose to do a peppermint face wash for its skin benefits and festive scent. Peppermint essential oil has Omega-3 fatty acids, iron, magnesium, calcium, Vitamins A and C, minerals, potassium, manganese and copper. This makes it perfect for maintaining healthy skin--brightening skin and helping to control acne. I also included fresh mint in the recipe for it's skin cleansing properties.

Together these ingredients create a gentle and refreshing way to increase skin health and prep yourself for the new year! Enjoy!

But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
