It's October. FINALLY!
Finally we get to wear warm, cozy sweaters, head to Starbucks for that much anticipated Pumpkin Spice Latte and crunch on some orange leaves.
But really, the one day we look forward to the most in October is the last. That's right, October, 31 - HALLOWEEN! The day where you get to dress up as whatever you like and get CANDY. What can be better, honestly?
Now, some people have already planned out their Halloween costume down to the very last detail. In fact, die-hard Halloween fans probably started planning on November, 1 of last year.
But if you're anything like me, last minute costumes are pretty much your only option. So to help you out, here is a list of great Halloween costumes to DIY on October, 30!
Here we go!
Scarecrow
A Halloween classic. All you need for this costume is a pair of overalls, some plaid, a hat, a bandana and eye makeup to create the patch-work look. Since this costume is pretty gender-neutral and generic, anyone would look great wearing it!!
Lady Gaga (Telephone)
There are a lot of looks you can choose from Lady Gaga's insane repertoire. But the "Telephone" music video look is iconic and easy! Have some soda or beer cans lying around? Curl them up in your hair! Pair it with a leather jacket, some bling, and strong eye makeup and BAM! Gaga.
Zombie
Zombies are super in right now. (For whatever reason). Which is great, because a DUY zombie costume is pretty easy to make. You just need to make your face all grey and fake-bloody, maybe add some festering wounds and what not (your call) ... Then get some clothes, some you don't mind roughing up a bit, and weather them out with slashes and dirt ... And throw some more blood on there for the heck of it.
Starbucks coffee
Pretty easy looking, right? Buy a white base, whether it be a dress, skirt/shirt combo, shirt/pants, whatever...Then get some light weight cardboard and paste the Starbucks logo on the front. Get all the details right buy buying yourself a nice cup and copying every detail!
Paper Doll
This one is so cute. If you grew up obsessing over paper dolls, then it's for you! Design our own outfit and accessories and draw and cut them out on light weight cardboard or some sturdy paper. (Make sure to measure yourself first!) Oh, and don't forget to add the white tabs on everything!
Skeleton
This one requires you get pretty fancy with makeup. Use liquid liner and black eyeshadow to create crisp lines on your face. This look is super dramatic and would only require you to wear black clothing with it.
Donald Trump
Looking for something topical? Dress as Trump! This costume can be great for both men and women (though, perhaps a wig is required). Make sure you have a dark blue suit and a red tie, as well as your best "Trump face" possible. (See below)
