Last night you had no plans for Halloween, but just this morning your friends made last minute plans and are obligating you to join the fun. The plans seem fun until you realize you have no costume and may not be in the best place financially to buy a brand new one. Do not fret! All you need is to turn your creativity on, perhaps invest a few dollars, and channel your inner DIY powers to create any one of these last minute looks.
1. Boo
This Boo costume is a very simple outfit to put together on such short notice. These are even items that you may already have at home and may not need to spend a dime on. The costume consists of a long watermelon-pink shirt, purple leggings, and white Converse to improvise for her white socks, though you may use any white footwear of your choosing. Complete the look by styling your hair in Boo’s signature two high ponytails and you’ll be ready to go.
2. Kim Possible
Kim Possible is a classic childhood Disney character that is almost impossible to hate. Just like the Boo costume, this idea consists of items that you may not even need to purchase because you can find them in your own closet. If you do not own cargos, any kind of olive green pants will make a good substitute and if you do not own all black Converse, any black shoes would also suffice. If you’re feeling a little extra, you can buy an orange wig or hair spray paint and put on a little bit of makeup to go with the look.
3. Animal Onesie
Maybe it happens to be a bit cold this Halloween where you reside and you truly do NOT want to dress up in a full costume. Sitting at home and watching Netflix in your favorite onesie may sound better than going out…but why not just wear your onesie? Your favorite animal or character onesie would make the perfect, quick, comfy, and warm costume to partake in whatever activity you have planned. The best part is that you can choose whatever shoes of your liking and kick them off as soon as you get home to go straight to bed.
Halloween does not have to be a pocket-emptying experience in order for you to have fun. Remember that some of the best costumes are self-made because of the personal touches made to them. Whatever you do this Halloween, remember to have fun and be safe!
