Christmas is coming! Sometimes the budget can be a little tight around Christmas when it comes to gift giving. So, here are some gift ideas to save some time and money!

1. Open when letters

I actually made these for my fiance and he really enjoyed them. I wrote four different letters including "Open when you're sad" "Open when you miss me" etc. Along with the letters I put little surprises in them as well, his favorite picture of us and his favorite candy.

2. Picture frames

One year I found an old picture of my mom and I and personalized and decorated the frame and it turned out really amazing.

3. Movie tickets

While this one isn't exactly DIY if you or someone you know is a movie connoisseur- like myself- then getting them tickets to a movie that they really want to see can be a really exciting gift.

4. Homemade bath salts

Bath salts are actually really easy to make and you can use natural ingredients that are already in your home.

5. Home made blanket

This one is a lot of fun, while it requires you to know how to sew, you could make some one something really heart felt for Christmas.

6. Christmas ornaments

My mom loves decorating the Chritmas tree and so do I. Making home made ornaments is something you and your loved ones will remember for years to come.

7. Cookies

Come on who doesnt love cookies?

8. Hot Cocoa Kit

This is another easy DIY. All you have to do is place the ingredients in a jar and decorate it!

9. Home made candles

This is a really fun one. You made need to purchase the materials needed to actually make the candles but they are inexpencive and fun to make!

10. Give the gift of your presence

The holidays can get pretty hectic and so make sure you make time to spend time with the people you love this Christmas.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about.
