With the new school year quickly approaching it is time for you to start thinking about your dorm room. Decorating your room with all store bought items can get pricy, but these DIY's will help your room look great on a budget!

Before anything....LAYOUT

Even if you have the best the DIY's nothing is going to look good if you don't have a good layout. Planner 5D is an app that allows you to layout all your furniture so you can see the final project before you go through all the heavy lifting!

Hanging a tapestry creatively

Tapestries are such a nice way to add a pop of color to your dorm but it is usually a pain in the butt to hang them. You could even bring this project to the next l even by changing the clips to more decorative ones. Either way this DIY is simple and so efficient!

Clip Frame

Being away from home can be a bit much when you are away at school, so what better way to display your sentimental photos than in this awesome frame?! This clip frame is a fairly easy DIY and all materials are inexpensive!

Magnetic Makeup Board

When you only have one desk for homework, beauty, and other things, surface space on your desk is very limited. This DIY not only takes all of your makeup and brushes off your desk, it also allows you to see all your products at once instead of digging around in a bag or a drawer.

Comfy and Cute Headboard

Sleep is a key to success in college, so make sure you rest easy with a fluffy headboard.

Hidden Storage

This is such a creative and useful DIY! What a great way to recycle some of those old books you have laying around, this is also a perfect place to hide anything you just don't want laying out in the open;)

Washi Tape Cork Board

Cork boards are a great way to stay organized at school but to buy the cork board in the frame at the store is costly. By just getting the cork and the washi tape you can create an adorable and functional DIY!

Shoebox Charging Station

This is a super cute way to reduce unsightly cords, keep wires from tangling, and keep all of your chargers in the same place. This is such a cute DIY and most of the materials you can find in the comfort of your own home!

Washi Tape Door

Yet again washi tape saves the day! This is a great way to distinguish your door from all of the other ones in the hallway without any damage! This DIY is a cheap and fun way to give some life to your door.
