If you are looking for a spontaneous trip with your friends or significant other, Divine Llama Vineyards in East Bend, North Carolina is the place to go.

There is something so enticing about the idea of getting to meet llamas while being able to enjoy a locally made glass of wine. I can't quite put my finger on it, but when my boyfriend surprised me with a trip there I was thrilled!

Right when you drive up, you're hit with a magnificent view of beautiful grapevines. I felt like I had been transported out of my home state and thrown into a majestic European field.

After you've taken in the scenery, there is a little house that serves as the gift shop and wine bar. They offer an affordable wine tasting where you are able to try ten different wines! You are then able to purchase your favorite bottle or fill up your glass (yes, you get to keep the glass from the wine tasting), and either sit outside in one of their many seating options or, as my boyfriend and I were dying to do, head to the llamas.

The trek to the llamas is a decent distance, but the path you take to them is so worth the walk. You feel completely detached from civilization as you take in the breathtaking nature, now fully understanding why 'Divine' is part of the vineyard's name.

When we finally made it to the llamas, my excitement seemed to grow tenfold. They are beautiful creatures with the sweetest demeanor. My boyfriend and I wasted away the time just staring in awe at these precious animals while sipping on our delicious Merlina wine.

For the picture lovers (like myself), this place serves as a beautiful backdrop for a romantic picture with your significant other, Pinterest worthy photo with your friends, or even your next profile picture featuring your favorite new furry friend.

Llamas aren't your style? Well, Divine Llama Vineyards has that covered too! If you walk up just a little further on the path, you can enjoy your wine with chickens or ponies.

The best thing about this one of a kind vineyard is that it welcomes everybody! You don't like to drink or you aren't 21? The llamas are still available for viewing even if you just get a bottle of water!

Make sure to keep an eye out for special events held at the vineyard as well! There are a variety of events ranging from Llama Yoga to Tour de Llama. Even if there aren't any events currently available, you can bring food for a picnic and sit at one of the multiple tables available and just enjoy the beautiful landscape and a delectable glass of wine.

Everyone thinks goats are the new craze, but I think we can all agree that llamas are the real GOAT.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever.
