Both Disneyland and Universal Hollywood have unique rides that make each resort special. But, there are many reasons you should head to Anaheim instead of Hollywood. Here are three key reasons.
1. The rides
Disney has multiple thrill rides, which span from Space Mountain to the brand new Incredicoaster. At Universal, there are a lot more simulators than rollercoasters. If you love the thrill of a rollercoaster go to Disney, where there a lot more audio-animatronic and rollercoaster rides.
2. The atmosphere
The way Disney is able to immerse their crowds into different worlds is absolutely incredible. Entering your favorite movies, like Radiator Springs in cars or Guardians of the Galaxy in Mission Breakout, is the coolest thing and the attention to detail that Disney parks have is remarkable. Universal doesn't have that attention detail like Disney has. Universal is more of a theme park than another world.
3. More options
At Disneyland, there's always a lot of things in store for what you can do. You are not forced to be riding all the attractions all day. You can head to downtown to relax, there are a lot of world class food options, and there's entertainment around every corner. At Universal, there's a limited amount of rides and compared to the amount of sit down restaurants in Disneyland, Universal Hollywood feels like it's smaller and less diverse.
