As my first week home for the summer comes to an end, I'm realizing how bored I'm going to be until the rest of my friends get out of school. On the bright side, I have more time to experiment with makeup looks based on obscure animated birds.
This week: Marahute
1. Apply crease and lid shades.
Use a fluffy brush to buff a matte light brown shade into the crease, then use a shader brush to apply a light gold shadow onto the inner half of the lid, then a bronze shade onto the outer half.
2. Draw the feathers.
Line the upper lashline and draw a wing with a gold or bronze eyeliner, then add around three more wings connected to the first, with each point extending farther than the last.
Use a darker brown eyeliner or eyeshadow to accent the tips of the feathers, sharpening them with an eyeliner brush (blank or with concealer).
3. Tightline and highlight.
Use the same or a similar shade to the eyeliner used to draw the wing and tightline the lower waterline with it. Then smudge a dark brown eyeshadow along the lower lashline, and blend a black shadow onto the outer corner. Highlight the inner corner and browbone with a shimmery cream shade and finish with a black or brown mascara.
